In Search of... Fall-Themed Web Articles!

We have been busy working on nature study projects involving wildflowers, seeds and other fall wonders. The August/September garden is just bursting with color! In a couple of short weeks, the red maples will begin to announce the shifting of the sun's rays and the chillier night-time temperatures.

This week, schools start back up in the Northeast. New backpacks hang, ready for the first day of school. Teachers are quickly "re-pinning" all my posts on classroom data. It's that time of year!

A Quest...

In keeping with the spirit of back-to-school, changing seasons and the excitement of the coming of autumn, I recently participated in a search for the best fall-themed Squidoo lenses (web articles, for those of you not familiar with the Squidoo platform), and the list is growing and growing.

As participants find these gems, we post them to a great widget, called a Plexo Voting widget, which is a dynamic view of the list, plus a voting platform. New items are added, and readers can vote on the ones on the list, to vote them up and down. The "winners" at the end of the week will receive an honorary "purple star" that will appear at the top of their articles.

You will notice a lot of nature study and fall crafts in the list. But there are also some other types, including decorating, fall-inspired wedding favors and fall holiday articles.

Please click back often, as the list will continue to grow and change. Enjoy!
